Gibson Special Order Custom Shop Les Paul Custom

I've had a lot of Les Paul Customs through here, and this 2008 Blue Sparkle is the one that makes the black and white ones feel a little boring. It's a factory special order, and the sparkle really lights up under direct light instead of sitting there as flat metallic blue. The original '57 Classics are hotter and punchier than I expected, but you still get that Les Paul clarity when you dig in. Action is low and effortless, frets are excellent, and at 9.7 lbs it has the heft you want without getting silly. There's some finish checking around the headstock, which I photographed up close, but the body is clean and it comes with the original Custom Shop case, COA and inspection sheet.
