Refund policy
Every guitar I sell is individually selected, personally inspected, photographed, and dialed in before it ships. I document what I find — including flaws — so there are no surprises when the case opens. If something still isn't right, here's exactly how returns work.
Return Window
You have 3 days from the date of delivery to contact me about a return. Reach out before shipping anything back so I can authorize the return and give you next steps.
If the guitar is not as described or arrived damaged
Free return. I cover return shipping.
If what arrives doesn't match the listing — condition, specifications, included accessories, or anything else I documented — I'll make it right. Contact me within 3 days of delivery with photos, and I'll arrange a full refund including return shipping at my expense.
Once the guitar is back and confirmed in the condition it shipped in, you'll receive a complete refund to your original payment method.
If you changed your mind
15% restocking fee. Buyer pays return shipping.
If the guitar is exactly as described but isn't the right fit for you, I'll still work with you — under these conditions:
- You contact me within 3 days of delivery to request authorization
- The guitar is returned in the exact condition it shipped in — no new wear, damage, or modifications
- All original contents are included: case, case candy, certificates, hangtags, paperwork, and any accessories
- A 15% restocking fee applies, covering my time, relisting costs, and original outbound shipping
- Return shipping is your responsibility
Once the guitar arrives and I've confirmed its condition, I'll refund the purchase price minus the restocking fee to your original payment method.
How to start a return
Contact me through the contact page before shipping anything back. Include your order number and a brief description of the issue, and I'll respond quickly with authorization and instructions.
Returns shipped without prior authorization may be refused. This isn't red tape — it's so I know a guitar is coming and can make sure it's insured and tracked properly on the way back.
Shipping damage
Every guitar ships fully insured for its complete purchase price. If your guitar arrives damaged in transit:
- Contact me immediately with photos of both the damage and the packaging, including the outer box
- Keep all original packing materials until the claim is resolved
- I'll file the carrier claim and either cover the cost of repair or issue a full refund upon return — your choice
Report damage promptly so the carrier claim can be filed within their required window.
Returns I may decline
- Requests made more than 3 days after delivery
- Guitars showing use, wear, damage, or modification that occurred after delivery
- Guitars returned without all original components, case, and case candy
- Returns shipped back without prior authorization
Return shipping standards
When you're responsible for return shipping, please use a fully insured, tracked service and pack the guitar to the same standard it arrived in — hard case, double-boxed, with the neck and headstock properly supported. You remain responsible for the instrument until it's back in my hands.
Questions before you buy
I'd much rather answer ten questions before a sale than process a return after one. If you want more photos, additional detail on condition, a specific measurement, or a video of the guitar plugged in, just ask.
