I’m Shan, the founder of Aeonic Frets.

Like a lot of guitar players, my obsession started with picking up an instrument and never really putting it down. What began as a love for playing quickly grew into a fascination with the craftsmanship, history, and personality that every guitar carries. Over the years I’ve owned, played, restored, photographed, and studied hundreds of instruments—from everyday workhorses to rare collector pieces—and I still get excited every time I open a guitar case.

Aeonic Frets was built from that passion.

My goal has never been to become the biggest guitar store. Instead, I want to build a place where musicians and collectors can buy with confidence, knowing every instrument has been carefully inspected, accurately represented, and honestly described.

Every guitar that comes through Aeonic Frets is personally evaluated by me. I document its condition in detail, verify its specifications, photograph it professionally, and spend the time to write descriptions that tell you what the guitar is actually like to own and play—not just what’s on a spec sheet. If there are imperfections, I’ll point them out. If there’s something truly special about the instrument, I’ll tell you why I think it stands out.

When I’m not working with guitars, I’m a software engineer by profession. That background has shaped how I run Aeonic Frets. I believe in systems, transparency, organization, and constant improvement. Behind the scenes I’ve built much of the technology that powers my inventory management and listing process, allowing me to focus more time on finding exceptional guitars and providing an experience I’d want as a buyer myself.

At the end of the day, I’m simply a guitarist who never lost the excitement of discovering a great instrument.
