This 2023 Gibson Les Paul Standard ’60s in Key Lime Sparkle Burst is one of the coolest Mod Shop finishes I’ve had come through. I hadn’t seen this color before getting this one in, and it is much better in person than the name even suggests.

The center is a pale key-lime/cream color that fades into a much stronger green around the perimeter, with fine sparkle running through the finish. Under normal room light it already stands out, but direct light really brings the metallic effect to life. It is unusual without feeling overdone, and the cream plastics and amber knobs work perfectly with it.

Underneath the finish, it still feels exactly like what I want from a good Les Paul Standard ’60s. The neck is slim and comfortable, the frets feel buttery, and the current setup passed inspection exactly as it came in. Action is comfortable, intonation is spot on, and the frets are in excellent condition.

It weighs 9.47 lbs on my scale, so it has that substantial Les Paul feel without being unusually heavy.

The original electronics passed my complete inspection with no issues. It has plenty of that familiar Standard ’60s punch and clarity, with a strong bridge sound and a fuller neck position without getting muddy.

Being a Gibson Mod Shop guitar, it has the factory “MOD” stamp on the back of the headstock. This is not an aftermarket refinish or somebody’s home modification. The finish was done through Gibson’s Mod Shop, and the guitar includes its Gibson Certificate of Authenticity.

What stood out to me:

• Key Lime Sparkle Burst Gibson Mod Shop finish

• Sparkle throughout the finish with a stronger green perimeter

• One of the more unusual modern Les Paul finishes I’ve had in

• Slim and comfortable ’60s-style neck feel

• Excellent frets

• Spot-on intonation

• Comfortable setup

• Original electronics

• Complete electronics inspection passed

• 9.47 lbs on my scale

• Factory “MOD” headstock stamp

• Original Gibson hardshell case

• Complete case candy

• Gibson Certificate of Authenticity

Condition is Excellent.

The body, neck, backside and fretboard all came through inspection in excellent condition. I did not find any major blemishes worth calling out, and overall it presents extremely well. The hardware, plastics and finish all look very clean, and this is one of those guitars that feels like it has been carefully kept.

The setup passed inspection without needing correction, the frets are excellent, and everything functions exactly as it should.

The photos shown are real photographs of this exact guitar. I do not use AI-generated imagery, replacement backgrounds, or image manipulation to misrepresent the condition of my guitars. What you see is the instrument you’ll receive.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and fully insured via Reverb Safe Shipping.

Quick note: These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 3–7 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!

Buying direct from me

I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.

Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.

Questions before you buy? Ask me anything — more photos, a specific measurement, or anything the listing doesn't cover.
