This 2013 PRS S2 Starla in Vintage Cherry comes from the very first year of PRS's American-made S2 series. With its beveled mahogany body, Bigsby vibrato, black pickguard, and dot inlays, the Starla has a distinctly different look from the more familiar PRS designs. The transparent red finish lets the wood grain show through, and the color carries all the way around to the back of the guitar and neck.
The Vintage Cherry finish has plenty of depth, especially where the light catches the beveled edges. The nickel hardware, covered humbuckers, and Bigsby B50 give it a slightly vintage appearance without losing the clean PRS styling. It's also a fairly lightweight guitar at 7.72 lbs on my scale.
The neck has PRS's Pattern Regular profile, measuring 21.5 mm at the first fret and 23.8 mm at the 12th. Playability is excellent, with low, effortless action, smooth frets, and easy bends. It has received a recent setup, and the intonation is spot on. The Bigsby operates smoothly and holds tuning fairly well, too.
Electronics are completely original, including the PRS S2 Starla Treble and Bass humbuckers. The three-way blade selector handles the pickup combinations, while the push/pull tone control provides coil-splitting for additional single-coil options. All electronics passed inspection and function correctly.
Condition is Very Good, leaning toward Excellent in several areas. The body presents clean and glossy, with some light finish scratches here and there. There are a few scuffs on the back of the body, along with a scuff on the back of the headstock, all photographed for reference. The frets and fretboard are in excellent condition, and there are no cracks, finish checking, or headstock repairs. The guitar remains entirely original with no modifications.
Includes a gig bag.

• Pattern Regular neck with effortless low action and smooth bends
• Excellent fret condition and spot-on intonation
• 7.72 lbs on my scale
• Very Good condition with only localized scuffing and light finish wear
The photos shown are real photographs of this exact guitar. I do not use AI-generated imagery, replacement backgrounds, or image manipulation to misrepresent the condition of my guitars. What you see is the instrument you’ll receive.
Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and fully insured via Reverb Safe Shipping.
⏳ Quick note: These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 3–7 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.
Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.
Questions before you buy? Ask me anything — more photos, a specific measurement, or anything the listing doesn't cover.

Not as described, or damaged in shipping? Full refund, including the shipping you paid, and I pay return shipping. “As described” means everything in the listing: photos, condition notes, specs and included accessories. Every guitar is insured for its full price. If it's damaged in transit, I handle the carrier claim, and you choose between a repair at my expense or a full refund.
Changed your mind? Return it in the condition it arrived, with everything it came with, for a flat $150 fee. The fee is the same whether the guitar was $900 or $9,000, not a percentage. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility.
