This 2024 Gibson Les Paul Standard '60s Faded in Vintage Cherry Sunburst has a particularly nice flame maple top, with wide, flowing figuring that shifts quite a bit depending on the lighting. The satin nitrocellulose finish gives the guitar a softer, more natural appearance than a traditional gloss Standard, and the cherry red transitions into a warm amber center without hiding the wood underneath.

The top is probably the first thing you'll notice, especially in natural light. Some of the flame runs in broad horizontal bands, while other areas have a more irregular, wavy pattern. It's an AA figured maple top over a solid mahogany body, with cream binding, nickel-covered humbuckers, and the familiar '60s-style reflector knobs. The lighter finish also leaves the wood grain visible on the back and sides.

The neck is Gibson's '60s SlimTaper profile, measuring 20.8 mm at the first fret and 23.9 mm at the 12th. Playability is genuinely excellent on this one. It recently received a full setup, and the action is low and effortless, with spot-on intonation and absolutely no buzzing. The frets and fretboard are in excellent condition. The satin finish also gives the neck a smoother, less glossy feel that I find particularly comfortable. It plays and feels remarkably close to a new guitar.

Electronics are completely original, including the factory '60s Burstbucker humbuckers with Alnico 5 magnets. Gibson pairs these with hand-wired controls, Orange Drop capacitors, an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, and aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece. Everything passed my electronics inspection and functions correctly.

Condition is Very Good near Excellent, with very little evidence of actual playing time. The body, neck, and fretboard are exceptionally clean. There's one small nick along the backside edge, photographed for reference, along with minimal signs of handling. No finish checking, cracks, headstock repairs, or modifications.

It weighs 9.26 lbs on my scale and includes the original Gibson hardshell case with complete case candy.

• 9.26 lbs on my scale

Buying direct from me

I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.

Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.

Questions before you buy? Ask me anything — more photos, a specific measurement, or anything the listing doesn't cover.

Full refund, including the shipping you paid, and I pay return shipping. “As described” means everything in the listing: photos, condition notes, specs and included accessories. Every guitar is insured for its full price. If it's damaged in transit, I handle the carrier claim, and you choose between a repair at my expense or a full refund.

Changed your mind? Return it in the condition it arrived, with everything it came with, for a flat $150 fee. The fee is the same whether the guitar was $900 or $9,000, not a percentage. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility.
