The moment you open the pink-lined brown Gibson case and see that flame maple light up, it has that unmistakable early-2000s charm… the kind you just don’t see on new Standards anymore. It’s a guitar that feels warm, seasoned, and deeply inviting the second it’s in your hands.
The flame top is the star here—rich, lively, and far nicer than what you’d expect from most Plus tops of the era. Under the burst, you can see the grain shift and shimmer with even the slightest movement. It’s the kind of top that makes you pause for a second before plugging in, just to appreciate it.
Condition-wise, it’s in excellent shape for its age. Sure, there are a few tiny bumps and light scratches if you go hunting for them, but nothing that takes away from the impression of a very well-kept, respectfully owned Les Paul. No pickguard, no pickguard holes—just a clean top that lets the flame speak for itself.
At about 9.8 lbs, this is the real-deal, pre-chambered Gibson weight. Solid, sustaining, and powerful without feeling unbalanced.
