The Tremonti models have always had a different kind of attitude to them. This isn’t your typical “polite” PRS. It’s tighter, heavier, more aggressive—and this particular one really leans into that.
This PRS SE Tremonti in Black (2002–2015 era) has that stripped-down, purpose-built look. No flashy top, no distractions—just a deep gloss black finish with binding that gives it that clean, almost stealthy presence. It feels like a workhorse the second you pick it up, and honestly, that’s exactly what these were built to be.
Condition-wise, this one is in great shape, especially for its age. You’ll find light signs of wear, but no major dings, chips, or anything that takes away from it. The finish still presents really well, and it’s clearly been taken care of. It’s also been professionally set up, and it shows—it plays effortlessly up and down the neck.
The neck profile is where this model really starts to separate itself. It’s a bit thicker and more substantial than your typical SE Custom 24, leaning into that Tremonti feel—comfortable, but with a little more to grab onto. It pairs perfectly with the wide/thick carve, giving you that solid, planted feel whether you’re chugging riffs or holding sustained leads.
Tone is exactly what you’d expect here—and then some. The PRS-designed Tremonti humbuckers are hotter and more focused than standard SE pickups. The bridge has that tight, punchy low end with a strong mid push, making it perfect for heavier styles, while the neck still cleans up nicely without getting muddy. It’s a super versatile setup, but it definitely shines when you push it.
And one thing that always stands out on these: the PRS stoptail bridge. It’s simple, but it adds a ton of resonance and sustain, and keeps tuning stability rock solid. You feel it immediately—notes just hang on longer, and everything feels more connected.
What stood out to me
• The all-black, bound body—clean, aggressive, and timeless
• Wide/thick neck carve that feels substantial without being bulky
• Tremonti pickups—hotter output with tight lows and strong mids
• PRS stoptail bridge adds sustain and tuning stability
• Great overall condition with only light, honest wear
• Dialed-in setup—plays smooth and fast with no issues
Comes with the original PRS gig bag, and it’s ready to go the second it lands.
Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.
⏳ Quick note
These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 1–5 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.
Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.
Questions before you buy? Ask me anything — more photos, a specific measurement, or anything the listing doesn't cover.
