I’ve handled a lot of PRS SE Customs, but this particular one is in a completely different lane visually. The spalted maple top on this Sweetwater limited run isn’t just figured—it almost looks like natural ink lines frozen into the wood, with each pattern completely unique.

It’s one of those guitars where no two are alike… and this one really got lucky with how dramatic and defined the figuring is.

What makes this version even cooler is the matching spalted maple headstock, which ties the whole aesthetic together in a way you almost never see on standard SE models. Add in that amber pearl-style binding, and the whole guitar has this warm, organic look that feels a step above typical production pieces.

Condition-wise, it’s in incredible shape. The body, neck, and finish have been very well preserved, with only a small notch on the side that’s genuinely hard to spot unless you’re looking for it. The neck is especially clean—glossy, smooth, and showing virtually no wear.

In hand, it feels exactly like a good Custom 24 should—fast, comfortable, and easy to navigate. The Wide Thin neck profile makes it effortless to move around, and the 25” scale gives you that perfect balance between snap and warmth.

Tonally, this thing is super versatile. The PRS-designed humbuckers deliver a clear, punchy response with plenty of articulation, and the push/pull coil split opens it up nicely for cleaner, more single-coil-like tones. It’s the kind of guitar you can genuinely cover a lot of ground with.

What stood out to me:

  • The spalted maple top — bold, high-contrast figuring that’s completely unique
  • Matching spalted headstock — rare detail that elevates the whole look
  • Amber pearl-style binding — subtle but adds a ton of character in person
  • Excellent condition overall with only a very minor, hard-to-see edge mark
  • Smooth, glossy neck with virtually no wear
  • Versatile electronics with coil splitting for a wide range of tones

I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.

⏳ Quick note
These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 1–5 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
