Questions about this guitar?

This is a 2025 PRS SE Custom 24-08 Quilt in Charcoal Cherry Burst, and this one has that immediate “stop and stare” look going for it. The SE Custom 24-08 Quilt takes the familiar Custom 24 platform and adds the extra switching flexibility of the 24-08 layout, giving you a maple-topped mahogany body, quilted maple veneer, Wide Thin maple neck, ebony fretboard, 24 frets, PRS bird inlays, PRS patented tremolo, and a pair of TCI “S” humbuckers with individual mini-toggle coil taps.

The Charcoal Cherry Burst finish is easily the star of the show here. The quilt top is mesmerizing in person, with a smoky charcoal center that fades into a deep red edge, and the figuring has a ton of movement under the gloss. It has that dramatic PRS look without feeling too flashy for the sake of it. The black hardware appointments, black pickup rings, transparent knobs, cream binding, and bird inlays all tie it together really well. It is one of those SE models that punches way above its price point visually.

Tonally, this is where the 24-08 layout really makes the guitar fun. The TCI “S” pickups give you full humbucker tones with plenty of clarity and punch, but the two mini-toggle switches let you split each pickup independently for a total of eight pickup combinations. That gives you a lot more flexibility than a standard dual-humbucker setup. You can keep it thick and full, brighten things up with single-coil-style sounds, or blend the two pickups in different ways depending on what the song needs. It is a very easy guitar to get inspired on.

The neck has PRS’s Wide Thin profile, which feels fast and comfortable without being overly flat or lifeless. The ebony fretboard gives it a smooth, quick feel under the fingers, and the 25" scale length keeps it feeling familiar while still having that slightly snappier PRS response. The PRS tremolo is comfortable under the hand, and the guitar feels balanced, modern, and easy to play.

This one is in amazing condition with no damage or issues to note. The body and neck are both excellent, the frets are excellent, the fretboard is clean, the electronics all test properly, and the intonation is spot on. It has had a recent setup, plays great, and the action feels strong and comfortable. The tonal options are excellent, and the guitar sounds every bit as good as it looks. It includes a gig bag.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.

Quick note: These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 1–5 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!

Buying direct from me

I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.

Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.

Questions before you buy? Ask me anything — more photos, a specific measurement, or anything the listing doesn't cover.
