I’ve had a handful of S2s come through over the years, and every now and then one lands that really nails that perfect middle ground—raw, resonant, and just flat-out fun to play. This particular one leans hard into that.
This is a PRS S2 Singlecut Standard Satin in Charcoal, and it’s got a vibe that’s completely different from your typical glossed-up, polished PRS. The satin finish gives it that stripped-down, almost workhorse feel—letting the grain subtly show through and giving it a look that’s more organic and broken-in from the start. It’s the kind of guitar that feels alive in your hands.
The neck is exactly what you’d expect from PRS—fast, comfortable, and easy to get around on. This one plays really smoothly with a solid setup, and it’s one of those guitars that just disappears when you’re playing it. No fighting it, no overthinking—just plug in and go.
Tonally, this is where it really stands out. The all-mahogany build paired with the satin finish gives it a warm, woody character with a bit more raw edge compared to a maple-topped PRS. It’s got punch, clarity, and a really nice midrange presence that sits perfectly whether you’re playing clean or pushing it into some grit. It’s versatile, but with just enough attitude to keep things interesting.
Condition-wise, it’s in very good shape. There are scratches and general signs of use here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary for a satin-finish guitar—honestly, it wears it well. Overall, it still presents really clean and has that naturally aged look that suits this model perfectly.
What stood out to me:
- Satin Charcoal finish with visible grain and a raw, broken-in aesthetic
- Lightweight, resonant all-mahogany body
- Fast, comfortable PRS neck that plays effortlessly
- Warm, punchy tones with strong mids and clarity
- Very good condition with natural playwear that fits the vibe
- Includes a quality gig bag for protection and transport
This is one of those guitars that doesn’t try to be flashy—it just feels right. If you’re after something that plays great, sounds killer, and has a more understated, player-focused character, this one delivers.
Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.
⏳ Quick note
These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 1–5 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.
Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.
Questions before you buy? Ask me anything — more photos, a specific measurement, or anything the listing doesn't cover.
