Finished in Elephant Gray, this one has that understated, smoky elegance PRS absolutely nails — dark, classy, and quietly menacing. The flame maple top has a subtle depth that comes alive under light, and the thin nitro lets the guitar breathe and resonate the way a McCarty should.
From the first chord, it’s obvious why the 594 platform is so loved. The 58/15 S pickups
deliver everything from warm, woody cleans to thick, articulate gain without ever getting muddy. Roll the volumes back and it opens up beautifully; push it and it sings with authority. This is one of those guitars where you don’t fight the controls — they actually work for you.
Playability is outstanding. The Pattern Vintage neck feels instantly familiar — substantial but never bulky — and the intonation is dead-on thanks to a professional setup. Chords ring true all the way up the neck, and lead lines feel effortless.
Condition
This guitar is in excellent, near-mint condition. The only thing worth mentioning is light play wear along the arm contour, exactly where you’d expect on a thin nitro finish. It’s honest, natural wear — not damage — and everything else is exceptionally clean. Frets, hardware, and electronics are all in beautiful shape.
