I’ve handled a lot of PRS guitars, but every once in a while one comes through that immediately feels different—not just visually, but in the way it resonates, the way it breathes. This particular one is exactly that kind of piece.
This is a PRS Reclaimed Limited Peroba Rosa CE 24 Semi-Hollow (2017) in Natural, and it’s part of one of PRS’s more unique, short-run concepts—built using reclaimed Peroba Rosa wood sourced from old Brazilian structures. That alone gives it a story most guitars simply don’t have, but what really sets it apart is how that wood shows itself. The grain isn’t just visible—it’s alive. You’ve got natural figuring, subtle movement, and even small knots that make every inch of this guitar feel one-of-a-kind. No two of these are alike, and this one leans heavily into that organic character.
The semi-hollow construction adds another layer to it. There’s an airiness and openness to the tone that you don’t get from a solidbody CE, but it still retains that snap and clarity PRS is known for. You get the best of both worlds—articulation with a bit of bloom behind the notes. It’s incredibly responsive, especially when you dig in.
The CE platform brings that bolt-on attack into the mix, giving it a slightly quicker, more immediate feel compared to set-neck PRS models. Paired with the 85/15 pickups, you’ve got a wide tonal range—clear, modern, and versatile, but still warm enough to complement the wood’s natural voice. Clean tones have this almost acoustic-like dimension to them, while gain still stays tight and defined.
Playability is exactly where you’d expect it to be—effortless. The neck is fast, comfortable, and familiar, and this one is currently set up with slightly higher action. That’s intentional—it really lets the guitar resonate and ring out in a way that suits this build perfectly. That said, there’s plenty of room to bring it down if you prefer a lower setup. As it sits, it strikes a really nice balance between feel and tone.
Condition-wise, it’s about as clean as they come. Excellent, near like-new condition with no real signs of heavy wear to call out. It’s been well taken care of and it shows.
What stood out to me:
- Reclaimed Peroba Rosa wood with incredibly visible grain, character, and natural knots
- Semi-hollow body adds air, resonance, and depth to the tone
- CE bolt-on construction for added snap and responsiveness
- 85/15 pickups offering clarity, versatility, and modern PRS tone
- Exceptionally clean, near like-new condition
- Setup favors resonance and sustain, but easily adjustable to taste
- Includes original PRS soft case and paperwork
This isn’t just another PRS—it’s one of those rare builds where the materials, construction, and feel all come together in a way that’s genuinely inspiring. If you’re looking for something that stands out visually and sonically, this one absolutely delivers.
