This is a 2011 PRS DGT 10 Top in Solana Burst, and it is a seriously good-looking example. The DGT was built around David Grissom’s preferences and feels noticeably different from a standard Custom 22 or McCarty. It has its own neck carve, taller frets, a unique control layout, and a tremolo setup that feels smooth and responsive while still holding tuning extremely well.

The top is easily the first thing that grabs you. The flame runs beautifully across the entire body, and the Solana Burst finish shifts from a deep orange around the edges to a bright amber through the center. It really comes alive under direct light. The natural maple edge, cream pickup rings, amber knobs, and warm mahogany back all tie together perfectly. This is one of those guitars that looks even better once you have it in your hands.

It has the original DGT humbuckers with individual volume controls, a push/pull master tone, and a three-way toggle. These pickups have plenty of punch, but they stay clear and responsive instead of getting muddy. The bridge has a strong, aggressive bite, the neck is warm and smooth, and the coil tap gives you some genuinely useful cleaner tones. There is a lot of range here without the controls feeling complicated.

The neck is straight, the fretboard has been freshly oiled, and the frets were just polished. Action is set close to PRS factory spec, intonation is spot on, and the guitar feels great from the first chord. Bends are smooth, the tremolo feels excellent, and the frets are in very good condition with plenty of life remaining. It weighs 8.08 pounds on my scale.

Overall condition is very good to excellent, especially for a guitar from 2011. The top and body still look fantastic. The only wear worth mentioning is a few minor scuffs along the back of the neck, a tiny mark near the front edge of the headstock, and a couple of very light dings along the left side of the body. Nothing affects the way it plays, and everything has been photographed clearly.

It includes the original PRS hardshell case along with the complete paperwork, registration card, hangtags, tremolo arm, adjustment tools, and original case candy.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.

Quick note: These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 3–7 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!

Buying direct from me

I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.

Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.

Questions before you buy? Ask me anything — more photos, a specific measurement, or anything the listing doesn't cover.
