This is a 2022 PRS Custom 24 Semi-Hollow Wood Library in Orange Tiger, and it’s one of those guitars that immediately makes an impression before you even plug it in. Between the unreal tiger striping across the top, the semi-hollow construction, the bird inlays, and the equally wild flame running down the neck, this is the kind of PRS that really reminds you why the Wood Library pieces are so sought after.

The top is the first thing that grabs you. The Orange Tiger finish absolutely lights up the figuring, and the flame is tight, deep, and incredibly vivid from edge to edge. It has that high-end PRS look where the finish almost seems to glow, especially under light. The semi-hollow body and single f-hole give it a little extra visual character too, separating it from the usual solidbody Custom 24 in a way that feels both classy and slightly more exotic.

What really pushes this one over the top is that it’s not just Wood Library—it’s also a 10 Top. That combination already puts it in special territory, and this example absolutely looks the part. The figured neck is also a huge part of the appeal here. It’s not often you see a neck that steals attention from the top, but this one absolutely does. The flame carries beautifully and ties the whole guitar together in a way that makes it feel especially premium from every angle.

Tonally, this guitar has that fast, articulate PRS response you’d expect from a Custom 24, but the semi-hollow construction gives it a slightly more open and airy character. It still has plenty of bite and clarity, but there’s also a nice liveliness to the attack and a bit more acoustic resonance in the hands. The original pickups sound excellent, with strong clarity, great note separation, and enough output to cover everything from clean, chimey passages to saturated lead work. It’s the kind of guitar that stays articulate no matter how hard you push it.

The neck feels great. It has a slim, fast profile that makes it really easy to move around on, and it matches the overall vibe of the guitar perfectly. It’s comfortable, effortless, and exactly the kind of carve that makes you want to keep playing. The fretwork is excellent, the board is clean, and the current setup is already right where it should be. In your words, this one played so well and was so clean that it wasn’t even worth touching the Sweetwater setup—and that says a lot. The intonation is spot on, the neck is playing beautifully, and the whole guitar feels dialed in.

At just 6.26 pounds on my scale, it’s also impressively light. That makes a big difference with a guitar like this. It feels lively and resonant in hand, and it’s incredibly comfortable whether you’re playing seated or standing for a long session. That lightweight semi-hollow build is a huge part of the appeal here and adds to the overall sense that this is a really special example.

Condition-wise, it’s excellent and honestly about as clean as you could hope for on a used guitar. I couldn’t find any blemishes worth noting. It appears to have seen very little actual play time, and it presents like a guitar that was more admired than used. The body, neck, back, and fret condition are all excellent. Electronics passed, the original pickups are still in place, and everything checks out exactly as it should.

It also includes the original hardshell case and case candy. That includes the PRS paperwork, Sweetwater inspection card, and accessories shown. The case itself is the beautiful PRS paisley-style hardshell case that fits the guitar perfectly and completes the whole package the way a top-shelf PRS should.

This is just a seriously impressive piece all around. Visually, it’s a knockout. Structurally and functionally, it’s clean and fully sorted. And from a playing standpoint, it has that easy, refined, high-end PRS feel that makes it hard to put down. If you like the idea of a Custom 24 but want something a little lighter, a little airier, and a lot more visually striking, this one checks a lot of boxes.
