PRS Custom 24 Semi-Hollow Wood Library

I’ve handled some seriously impressive PRS Wood Library builds, but this 2024 Custom 24 Semi-Hollow is one of those guitars that immediately feels like it was spec’d by someone with taste. The combination of a Natural flame maple 10-Top, Korina body and neck, ebony fretboard, semi-hollow construction, and 58/15 LT pickups gives this one a very special identity — elegant, resonant, lightweight, and incredibly alive in the hands.

The top is ridiculous in person. The Natural finish lets the flame maple do all the talking, and the figuring has that wide, almost liquid movement across the carved top. It’s not flashy because of color — it’s flashy because the wood itself is that good. The semi-hollow f-hole adds just the right amount of vintage personality, while the black pickup rings, black controls, smoked hardware, and dark ebony board give it a modern, almost boutique edge. The back is just as striking, with the Korina body and neck showing off a beautiful natural grain that makes the whole guitar feel more like a custom-built instrument than a standard production piece.

Condition is excellent and very much in like-new, open-box territory. I’m not seeing any notable blemishes, dings, or wear to call out. The finish still has that clean factory gloss, the hardware presents beautifully, and the guitar overall looks extremely fresh. It comes with the brown paisley PRS hardshell case and complete case candy.

At only 6.75 pounds on my scale, this one is incredibly comfortable, especially for a Custom 24. The semi-hollow construction gives it a lively, open feel without losing the tightness and focus that makes a Custom 24 so versatile. The setup feels fantastic — medium-low action, straight neck, no buzz, and spot-on intonation. This thing genuinely feels fast and effortless, with that “plays itself” quality where you stop thinking about the guitar and just start playing.

Tonally, the factory 58/15 LT pickups are a perfect match here. They have that clear, articulate PRS voice with a slightly sweeter, more vintage-leaning character compared to hotter pickup sets. In this semi-hollow Korina build, they feel especially dynamic — warm, open, touch-sensitive, and full of sustain. The 5-way switching gives you a wide spread of usable sounds, from full humbucker authority to glassier, more chimey textures.
