This is a 2017 PRS CE 24 in Faded Gray Cherry Burst, and it has a great worn-in feel without looking abused. PRS confirmed the original specifications directly from the serial number: flame maple top, mahogany back, maple neck with a Wide-Thin profile, East Indian rosewood fretboard, bird inlays, PRS tremolo and the original 85/15 pickups.

The satin finish is a huge part of what makes this one look so good. The center of the top has a smoky gray-brown appearance, while the deep red burst around the edges brings out the flame maple underneath. It has a darker, moodier look than the typical bright PRS burst, and the natural maple binding gives the whole guitar just enough contrast.

The original 85/15 pickups are clear and responsive, with plenty of punch when you dig in. The factory coil split adds another useful layer without making the controls feel complicated. It covers clean tones, heavier rhythm work and lead sounds equally well, which is exactly why the CE 24 has always been such a versatile guitar.

The maple neck feels great and has that smooth, played-in satin feel that only gets better with use. The Wide-Thin profile is quick and comfortable, the neck is straight, and the current setup is excellent. Action is comfortable, intonation is spot on, and the frets are in excellent condition.

I am listing it in very good condition to keep expectations realistic, but it presents extremely well for a satin-finished guitar. The body is free from any major dings or scratches. There is some visible pick wear below the bridge pickup and light play wear along the back of the neck, but neither affects how it plays. Overall, it has clearly been enjoyed while still being kept clean and cared for.

It weighs 8.10 pounds on my scale and includes the pictured hard case.

These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.

Quick note: These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 3–7 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
