This Heritage Standard H-150 in Original Sunburst is a seriously impressive American-made single-cut from Heritage’s historic Kalamazoo shop at 225 Parsons Street. It has the classic recipe everyone wants from this style of guitar: a solid, non-chambered mahogany body with a figured curly maple top, mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, Tune-O-Matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, and a traditional two-volume, two-tone control layout.

The Original Sunburst finish is beautiful in person. The figured maple top has a strong, lively flame that moves across the whole face of the guitar, with warm amber through the center and darker brown edges that give it a very classy, vintage-inspired look. It has a lot more depth than a typical production sunburst, and the cream plastics, gold Top Hat knobs, and chrome hardware complete the look perfectly.

The H-150 has that familiar single-cut weight and sustain, but it does not feel like a generic copy of anything. The non-chambered mahogany body gives it a solid, punchy response with plenty of low-mid warmth, while the maple top keeps the note attack clear and focused. It is a great combination for blues, classic rock, modern rock, and higher-gain playing where you want thickness without giving up definition.

The neck feels great. It has Heritage’s comfortable Standard C profile, with a fuller feel that is still easy to move around on. The action is set nice and low, the neck is straight, the frets are in excellent shape, and the intonation is spot on. It has recently been set up, plays smooth and punchy, and feels immediately comfortable in the hands.

Pickup note: the Standard H-150 originally shipped with a matched pair of Seymour Duncan ’59 humbuckers. The original owner advised that the bridge pickup remains the original Seymour Duncan ’59, while the neck pickup was changed to a Seymour Duncan JB. I have not removed the pickups to independently verify their markings, so I am listing the pickup configuration as unconfirmed and disclosing the owner-reported setup accordingly.

Condition-wise, this one is fantastic. It is very close to looking unplayed, with no dings, chips, breaks, cracks, or major scratches to note. The chrome hardware still presents extremely clean, the neck and frets are excellent, and the guitar has clearly been cared for exceptionally well. It weighs 9.52 pounds on my scale and includes the original Heritage hardshell case along with the factory inspection sheet.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.

Quick note: These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 1–5 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!

Buying direct from me

I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.

Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.

Questions before you buy? Ask me anything — more photos, a specific measurement, or anything the listing doesn't cover.
