I’ve handled a few of these new Gibson Victory models now, and this particular Figured Top in Iguana Burst is easily one of the coolest modern Gibson designs to come through my hands. It has that rare mix of feeling familiar and completely different at the same time — Gibson DNA, but with a much faster, more modern attitude than a typical Les Paul.

The Iguana Burst finish is the first thing that grabs you. It has this wild green figured maple top that shifts under the light, with darker movement in the grain that gives it a really unique look without feeling gimmicky. The body is mahogany with a AA figured maple top, paired with a mahogany neck and ebony fretboard, so it still has that solid Gibson backbone, but the 25.5” scale, 24 frets, SlimTaper neck, and compound-radius board make it feel sleeker and more flexible than most traditional Gibson layouts.

This one plays fantastic. It was PLEK’d from the factory, the frets are excellent, the intonation is spot on, and the action is comfortable with room to go lower if the next owner wants it dialed even tighter. What really surprised me on this one is the sustain — it rings out in a way that feels bigger than the guitar’s lightweight body would make you expect. At only 6.65 pounds on my scale, it is incredibly easy to handle, but it still has real punch and presence.

The original Gibson 80s Tribute humbuckers sound great, and the push/pull coil-splitting gives it a much wider range than you’d expect from such a clean control layout. You can keep it full and thick, or pull it into brighter, snappier territory without the guitar feeling thin or lifeless. It is a very usable, player-friendly setup.

Condition-wise, this one is about as clean as it gets. It is in excellent, like-new condition with no meaningful wear to call out. The finish is exceptionally clean, the neck feels great, the electronics tested perfectly, and it comes with the original hardshell case and complete case candy.

Weight is 6.65 pounds on my scale.

What stood out to me:

  • Like-new overall condition
  • Wild Iguana Burst figured maple top
  • Lightweight at 6.65 pounds on my scale
  • Factory PLEK’d and plays fantastic
  • Excellent frets
  • Spot-on intonation
  • Original Gibson 80s Tribute humbuckers
  • Push/pull coil-splitting for added tonal range
  • Strong sustain, especially for such a lightweight guitar
  • Original hardshell case and complete case candy included

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.

⏳ Quick note
These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 1–5 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
