Some finishes stop you mid-scroll. This Translucent Teal is one of them.

In person, it’s deep, rich, and alive — the kind of color that shifts with the light and makes the grain underneath quietly glow. It’s easily one of the rarer SG finishes from recent years, and one you don’t see come up often, especially in this condition and at a fair price.

This one is excellent overall, with very little play time. The frets are mint, the neck feels fast and broken-in without being worn, and the guitar has been properly set up and dialed in. It plays effortlessly — classic ’61 SG feel with that immediate response and snap the model is known for.

Condition-wise, the only things worth noting are a small paint-only chip on the headstock, purely cosmetic and visible in the photos. Outside of that, it presents very close to new.

Tonally, this SG delivers exactly what you want from a ’61-style Standard — articulate highs, tight lows, and that unmistakable SG midrange bite that cuts without ever feeling harsh. It’s lively, resonant, and feels alive in your hands whether you’re playing clean or pushing it hard.

It comes with the original Gibson hard case and all case candy, and has clearly been well cared for from day one.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.

⏳ Quick note

These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 3–7 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!

Buying direct from me

I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.

Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.

Questions before you buy? Ask me anything — more photos, a specific measurement, or anything the listing doesn't cover.
