This is a 2019 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro V in Satin Wine Red, a great player-focused Les Paul with a worn-in feel, a strong setup, and a really cool stripped-back look. The satin finish gives it a more raw, resonant feel than a full-gloss Les Paul, while the wine red top still has that classic Gibson presence.

The Traditional Pro V series was built around the familiar Les Paul formula while adding more modern versatility. You get the carved maple top, mahogany body, set mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, Tune-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, and dual humbucker layout, but with added switching options that give the guitar a wider range than a standard two-humbucker Les Paul.

This one has uncovered zebra humbuckers and the original electronics, with coil-splitting for added flexibility. It can do the thick, punchy Les Paul thing easily, but the split sounds add a brighter and more open response when you want something cleaner or more cutting. The bridge pickup has a mean bite to it, while the neck pickup stays warm and full without getting muddy.

The Satin Wine Red finish looks great in person. It has a darker, more understated look than a high-gloss cherry or burst finish, and the grain shows through nicely across the body and neck. It has the right kind of player vibe—clean enough to present well, but not so pristine that you would be afraid to actually use it.

This guitar has had a professional headstock repair. The repair is smooth to the touch, feels solid, and the guitar holds tune properly. Everything functions as it should, and it plays just like a strong Les Paul should. The action is decently low, the intonation is spot on, and the frets are in excellent condition.

Cosmetically, the body and the rest of the guitar show some scratches, scuffs, and general signs of use here and there, but overall it is still a very clean and great-looking instrument. Nothing affects the playability, sound, or stability of the guitar.

It weighs 9.37 pounds on my scale and includes the hard case shown in the photos.
