I’ve handled quite a few Les Pauls over the years, and every now and then one comes through that instantly feels different from the sea of sunbursts and predictable finishes. This particular Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro V in Ocean Water Perimeter is exactly that kind of guitar.
The top on this one is absolutely wild. The figured maple has that deep, almost holographic movement where the grain seems to shift depending on the angle, and the Ocean Water Perimeter finish is stunning in person—vibrant aquatic blues with darker edges that frame the top perfectly. It has this premium, modern Gibson look that stands out immediately without losing the classic Les Paul identity. Paired with the cream plastics, zebra pickups, and chrome hardware, the whole package just works.
The Traditional Pro V is a really cool sweet spot in Gibson’s lineup because it keeps the core Les Paul DNA intact while adding genuinely useful versatility. You still get the thick mahogany/maple recipe, sustain for days, and that unmistakable Les Paul authority—but with expanded switching and tonal flexibility that make it way more adaptable than your average traditional setup. Playability-wise, this one absolutely delivers. Electronics tested perfectly, intonation is spot on, and it genuinely sounds amazing. Setup is already in a comfortable place, making this one easy to grab and immediately enjoy.
Condition is overall very good - excellent and presents beautifully. There’s a chip on the back of the headstock, a small divot along the upper neck, some light scratches and minor bumps on the back, plus a faint indentation near the headstock from being hung on a wall hanger. Nothing here affects performance whatsoever—just honest cosmetic signs of careful ownership.
