The flame on this 2012 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Premium Plus in Wine Red is absolutely gorgeous. Deep, rich red with beautifully defined flame figuring that stretches across the entire top. The contrast between the darker stripes and brighter red really gives this one some depth, and the figuring changes quite a bit depending on how the light hits it. An exceptionally nice top on an already beautiful Les Paul.

Beyond the looks, this is a fantastic example of the Traditional series, with the classic '50s rounded neck profile, original Gibson '57 Classic humbuckers, Kluson-style tuners, and Nashville bridge.

The neck has some depth to it, as you'd expect from a '50s profile, but doesn't feel overly chunky. It's comfortable in the hand, with medium action, smooth frets, and plenty of room for bends. The neck is straight, intonation is spot on, and there's no buzzing. The existing setup passed inspection without needing any adjustments.

Condition is Excellent, and it's remarkably clean for a guitar from 2012. The body, neck, fretboard, and frets have all been kept in excellent shape. There are just a couple of very small, shallow finish impressions on the back, but nothing significant. No finish checking, cracks, or headstock repairs. I've also polished and waxed the body, and that Wine Red finish looks fantastic.

A few highlights:

• Beautiful Premium Plus flamed maple top with pronounced figuring throughout.

• Original Gibson '57 Classic humbuckers, with all electronics functioning correctly.

• Comfortable '50s neck profile with a great existing setup and smooth, buzz-free playability.

• All-original hardware, including Kluson-style tuners and Nashville bridge.

• 9.92 lbs on my scale.

• Includes the original Gibson hard case, inspection sheet, and warranty booklet.

For a 14-year-old Les Paul, this one has been exceptionally well cared for. Between the beautiful flame, classic Traditional specifications, and overall condition, there's a lot to appreciate here.

The photos shown are real photographs of this exact guitar. I do not use AI-generated imagery, replacement backgrounds, or image manipulation to misrepresent the condition of my guitars. What you see is the instrument you’ll receive.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and fully insured via Reverb Safe Shipping.

⏳ Quick note: These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 3–7 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!

Buying direct from me

I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.

Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.

Questions before you buy? Ask me anything — more photos, a specific measurement, or anything the listing doesn't cover.

Shipping & Insurance

Ships within 1 business day via UPS or FedEx Ground — typically 3-5 business days in transit. Every guitar is fully insured for its full purchase price, with signature required on delivery. Packed properly — hard cases shipped in a double box with foam padding, strings detuned, neck and headstock supported.

Flat $75 shipping anywhere in the US, no matter the price of the guitar. Full details in the shipping policy.

Returns

3 days from delivery to decide. That's your window to let me know, not to get it back to me. Play it, check it against the listing, and message me if anything's off.

Not as described, or damaged in shipping? Full refund, including the shipping you paid, and I pay return shipping. “As described” means everything in the listing: photos, condition notes, specs and included accessories. Every guitar is insured for its full price. If it's damaged in transit, I handle the carrier claim, and you choose between a repair at my expense or a full refund.

Changed your mind? Return it in the condition it arrived, with everything it came with, for a flat $150 fee. The fee is the same whether the guitar was $900 or $9,000, not a percentage. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility.

Start any return through the return policy page or contact me directly before shipping anything back.
