Questions about this guitar?
This is a 2024 Gibson Les Paul Supreme in Wine Red, and it is one of the better examples I’ve seen of the redesigned Supreme. Gibson took the traditional Les Paul platform and pushed it in a much more modern direction here, pairing an AAA figured maple top and mahogany body with Ultra-Modern Weight Relief, a SlimTaper mahogany neck, compound-radius ebony fretboard, Modern Contoured Heel, and the elaborate appointments that separate the Supreme from a regular Standard. At only 8.29 lbs on my scale, it is also exceptionally comfortable for a full-featured Les Paul.
The Wine Red finish on this particular guitar is incredible. The maple top has strong, consistent figuring across nearly the entire body, and the darker red around the edges gives it an unusually deep appearance—under certain lighting it almost takes on the rich dimensional look of a Root Beer-style finish. The gold hardware, multi-ply binding, mother-of-pearl Super Split Block fretboard inlays, and large 1940s-inspired mother-of-pearl headstock inlay give it a completely different presence from a normal Les Paul. It manages to look elaborate without feeling overdone.
Electronics are the original Gibson setup with a Burstbucker Pro in the neck and hotter Burstbucker Pro Plus in the bridge. These are paired with four push/pull controls: the volume controls provide coil tapping, while the tone controls add phase switching and Gibson’s Pure Bypass function. That gives this guitar a much wider range than the traditional four-knob Les Paul layout would suggest. The full humbucker sounds have plenty of punch and thickness, while the additional switching options let you pull considerably brighter and more articulate tones out of it when needed.
The neck may be my favorite part of the guitar from a playing standpoint. It uses Gibson’s SlimTaper profile with a 10"-16" compound-radius ebony board, 22 medium-jumbo frets, and the Modern Contoured Heel that makes the upper register noticeably easier to reach than on a traditional Les Paul. The frets feel exceptionally smooth and bends take almost no effort. Of the Les Pauls I currently have, this is the one that immediately stood out to me for how easy it is to play. The action is low, the recent setup is dialed in, the neck feels right, and intonation is spot on.
Hardware includes the original gold locking Grover Keystone tuners, aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge, and aluminum stopbar. Between the locking tuners, lighter aluminum hardware, weight-relieved body, and contoured heel, the Supreme has a noticeably more modern feel than a traditional Standard while still retaining the basic sound and response people expect from a Les Paul.
Condition is excellent and very close to like new overall. There is some light finish checking along the edge of the front-right side of the body near the binding, along with a small scuff at the upper-left corner of the headstock. Both are photographed clearly. Outside of those areas, the guitar is exceptionally clean. The body, back, neck, fretboard, frets, electronics, and hardware all inspected excellent, and it has a fresh set of strings.
It includes the original Gibson hardshell case and the complete pictured factory case candy, including the inspection card, accessories, tools, paperwork, and uninstalled black pickguard.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.
⏳ Quick note: These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 3–7 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.
Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.
