This 2025 Gibson Les Paul Studio Session in this smoky, textured ebony-style burst is one of those guitars that immediately grabs you in person. The AA figured maple cap has a subtle, three-dimensional character that shifts with the light — dark, moody, and classy without trying too hard. It photographs beautifully, but looks even better in hand.
Overall condition is very clean. There are two small chips on the left front body edge and some light wear along the sides of the headstock from being kept on a wall hanger — all cosmetic and pictured clearly. Beyond that, it presents extremely well and feels solid and well cared for.
This guitar has been professionally set up with new strings, low comfortable action, spot-on intonation, and a conditioned fretboard. The neck is straight and responsive, making it effortless to play across the board.
The Studio Session models are a step up from a standard Studio and feel more like a “modern-spec’d Les Paul without the weight.” This one features an Ultra-Modern weight-relieved mahogany body, keeping it comfortable at 7.8 lbs, paired with an AA figured maple cap for classic punch and sustain. The SlimTaper mahogany neck and bound ebony fretboard feel fast, smooth, and premium — ebony really does elevate the playing experience here.
Electronics are equally strong: ’57 Classic (neck) and ’57 Classic Plus (bridge) humbuckers deliver warm cleans, rich midrange, and thick, articulate drive. The push/pull controls add coil-tapping, phase options, and bypass functionality, giving you a wide tonal range without overcomplicating things. Hardware is finished in chrome, which pairs perfectly with the dark top and ebony board for a sleek, modern look.
This guitar comes with a soft gig bag (not the original Gibson soft case), suitable for transport and storage.
