Gibson Les Paul Studio 2012 - Silver Pearl

This 2012 Gibson Les Paul Studio in Silver Pearl is one of those Studios that feels a lot more special than the name usually suggests. The finish alone gives it a completely different presence — a metallic silver sparkle that shifts under light and gives the carved Les Paul shape a sleek, almost custom-shop kind of attitude. Paired with black plastics, chrome hardware, cream binding, and the classic trapezoid inlays, it has a clean, rare look that stands out immediately from the usual sunbursts and blacks.

This one is in excellent condition and honestly presents closer to like-new/unplayed than most used Gibsons I come across. The body and neck are both excellent, the frets are excellent, the fretboard is clean, and the electronics test perfectly. The chrome hardware is exceptionally clean with hardly a fingerprint on it, which says a lot about how little this guitar has been handled. The neck feels fast and comfortable, very much in that slimmer ’60s-style lane, making it easy to move around on without fighting the guitar. The frets feel excellent, the intonation is spot on, and the setup is solid. Tonally, it has that punchy Gibson Studio thing going on — strong mids, plenty of output, and a tight response that works great for rock, blues, heavier rhythm work, and clean split-coil textures. The coil splitting gives it more range than a traditional two-humbucker Les Paul, letting it move from thick humbucker push into brighter, leaner tones without losing the Gibson character.
