This is a 2023 Gibson Les Paul Standard ‘60s in Bourbon Burst, and it’s one of those guitars that reminds you why the Standard line is still the benchmark. The top on this one is just flat-out gorgeous—tight flame with that deep Bourbon Burst that shifts from a rich amber center into those darker edges. It has that classic, almost hypnotic Les Paul look that never gets old.
In hand, it feels exactly how you want a ‘60s spec to feel—slim taper neck, fast but still substantial enough to anchor your hand. This one’s been Plek’d, and you can tell immediately. The action is low and comfortable without sacrificing clarity, and the intonation is absolutely locked in. It’s one of those guitars where chords ring true all the way up the neck and bends feel effortless. Freshly oiled fretboard too, so it’s smooth and ready to go.
Plugged in, it delivers everything you expect from a modern Standard. The Burstbucker pickups have that open, dynamic character—warm and full on the neck, with a biting, articulate bridge that cuts without getting harsh. Roll the volume back and it cleans up beautifully; dig in and it roars. This is that classic Les Paul voice, just refined and responsive.
Condition-wise, it’s in excellent shape. There are only light signs of use—some minor pick marks and a small bump in the finish on the side being the most notable. Nothing that affects playability or takes away from how this guitar presents. Overall, it’s clean, well-kept, and shows like a properly cared-for instrument.
