This particular one is a perfect example of why the ‘60s spec keeps people coming back—it just feels right the second you pick it up.
Finished in Iced Tea, it’s got that classic, understated burst that doesn’t try too hard—but in the light, it absolutely comes alive. The figuring is subtle, but it’s there… and when it catches the light, you get that soft flame movement across the top that gives it real character without being over the top. It’s the kind of top that feels more “vintage correct” than flashy—and honestly, it suits this guitar perfectly.
Condition-wise, this one’s in excellent shape. Just some light, honest signs of use—nothing that takes away from it. No major dings or anything worth calling out. It’s clean, well-kept, and exactly what you’d hope to see from a properly cared-for Standard.
The feel is where this one really shines.
The ‘60s slim taper neck is fast without feeling thin, and paired with the rosewood board, it’s smooth and effortless up and down. It’s one of those guitars where you don’t have to fight anything—the setup is dialed, the action is low and comfortable, and it just plays easy. Fresh strings, freshly oiled fretboard, and everything sitting exactly where it should be.
Tone-wise, it delivers exactly what you want out of a Les Paul—but with a bit more clarity and bite that the ‘60s models are known for. You get:
- A tight, articulate bridge that cuts without getting harsh
- A warm, vocal neck that still stays defined
- That classic Les Paul sustain that just hangs on
It’s versatile in the best way—equally at home for clean tones, blues, rock, or pushing into heavier territory.
What stood out to me:
- Subtle figured top that really comes alive in the light
- Iced Tea finish has that classic, vintage-inspired look
- ‘60s slim taper neck feels fast and natural
- Setup is dialed—low action, plays effortlessly
- Excellent overall condition with only light wear
It comes with the original Gibson hard shell case.
This is one of those guitars that doesn’t scream for attention—but once you have it in your hands, you get it. It just does everything right.
