This is a 2019 Gibson Les Paul Standard ’50s in Heritage Cherry Sunburst, from the first year of the return-to-basics Standard lineup that brought the model back toward a much more traditional Les Paul formula. No weight relief, no push/pulls, no complicated switching—just a solid mahogany body, maple top, chunky ’50s-style mahogany neck, rosewood board and the classic two-humbucker setup.

This particular one has a really good top. The flame is broad and easy to see across the entire face, with enough variation that it changes quite a bit depending on the angle and light. The Heritage Cherry Sunburst is also nice and vibrant without completely burying the figuring around the edges. It has the kind of look you hope for when buying one of these without getting into Custom Shop money.

The stock Burstbucker 1 neck and Burstbucker 2 bridge pickups sound excellent. The neck is warm and full without turning muddy, while the bridge has plenty of bite and definition when you dig in. Clean tones have a nice open character and it gets into that familiar thick Les Paul sound very quickly once you start pushing an amp. Electronics passed inspection with no issues.

The ’50s neck definitely has some substance to it, but it feels comfortable rather than oversized. This one is currently set up really well with medium action, a straight neck and spot-on intonation. The frets are excellent and feel buttery across the board. At 9.82 lbs on my scale, it has the substantial feel you would expect from a completely non-weight-relieved Standard.

Condition is about as good as I could ask for on a 2019. I would comfortably call it excellent bordering on immaculate. The body, back, neck and fretboard have all been kept extremely clean, with no meaningful damage or heavy play wear jumping out. The hardware presents nicely as well, and overall this one looks like it spent far more time being cared for than being gigged.

It includes the original Gibson hardshell case along with the complete original case candy, including the factory inspection paperwork, owner’s manual, Gibson cloth and accessories.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.

Quick note: These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 3–7 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
