Questions about this guitar?
This is a 2007 Gibson Robot in Blue/Silver Burst, and honestly, this is one of those Gibson oddballs that feels cooler now than it probably even did when it first came out. The Robot Guitar was Gibson’s first major self-tuning production model, built around the MCK control system and robotic tuning hardware that allowed the guitar to tune itself and move between multiple tuning presets. It is part Les Paul, part early Gibson tech experiment, and part collectible time capsule.
The Blue/Silver Burst finish is the first thing that grabs you. It has this metallic silver center that fades into a deep electric blue edge, and it looks especially sharp with the cream pickup rings, black speed knobs, chrome hardware, and bound headstock. It is not a finish you see every day, and on this guitar it gives the whole thing a very unique, futuristic Gibson look without losing that classic Les Paul shape.
This model features a maple-topped mahogany body, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, trapezoid inlays, and a pair of Gibson humbuckers. The pickups are original, and the electronics tested properly. Tonally, it still has the guts and thickness you want from a Les Paul-style Gibson, but the Robot system adds a layer of functionality that makes it much more interesting than a normal Studio-style model. The MCK system gives access to automated tuning and alternate tuning options, and this one comes with the charger and paperwork.
Playability is excellent. The neck is straight, the frets are excellent, the fretboard is clean, and intonation is spot on. The setup is good and it sounds amazing as-is. This one has the feel of a clean, well-kept Gibson with the added fun of the original Robot system, which is exactly what makes these so interesting.
Condition is very clean overall. The body is very good and the neck is excellent, with one chip on the side edge being the main cosmetic note. Aside from that, this guitar presents beautifully with only light signs of handling. There are no breaks or structural issues noted, and it has been tested, inspected, and is ready to go.
It includes the original Gibson hardshell case, inspection sheet, charger, paperwork, and will ship in the original Gibson shipping box.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.
⏳ Quick note: These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 1–5 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.
Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.
Questions before you buy? Ask me anything — more photos, a specific measurement, or anything the listing doesn't cover.
