Gibson Les Paul Peace 2014 - Serenity Sunrise

This 2014 Gibson Les Paul Peace in Serenity Sunrise is one of those guitars that stops you mid-scroll. The top on this one is outrageous — wide, three-dimensional flame that honestly looks like it belongs in the Custom Shop room. The way the Serenity Sunrise burst melts from deep amber into that rich outer edge glow is just unreal. It’s easily the most desirable finish from the Peace run, and in person it has that “how is this not a Custom Shop?” presence.

The 2014 Peace series was a limited run built during Gibson’s 120th anniversary year, and they went all in on the details. You get the special “Peace” engraved tailpiece, the unique peace-symbol knobs, and the 120th Anniversary inlay at the 12th fret. It’s not just a Les Paul with a different color — it’s a themed, collectible model that stands apart the second you see it. Even the included hemp Gibson hard case with the peace emblem makes this feel like a true time-capsule piece from that era. And yes — the shag pink interior is ridiculously cool.

Condition wise, it’s excellent overall. There are a few minor dings and light bumps consistent with careful ownership, with the most noticeable marks being on the back (clearly pictured). Nothing structural, nothing concerning — just honest signs of life. The top, face, and overall presentation are extremely clean. Some typical minor rub from being hung as well.

It originally came with the Gibson G-Force automatic tuning system, but those were professionally swapped out for Grover tuners with zero modifications required. It’s a completely reversible change, and all of the original G-Force tuner components are included if you ever want to return it to factory spec. You’re getting the best of both worlds here — classic reliability now, originality preserved.

Playability is exactly where it should be. Neck relief is dialed in perfectly, action feels effortless, and it’s freshly set up with brand new 10s. It sustains like a proper Les Paul should — thick, blooming notes with that unmistakable midrange punch. It’s comfortable, balanced, and just flat-out inspiring to play.

It also includes all original paperwork and case candy, making this a strong piece for both players and collectors.

I really love this guitar. It’s one of those that feels special every time you open the case. Limited runs come and go, but the Serenity Sunrise Peace models have quietly become some of the most sought-after from the 2014 lineup — especially clean examples with all the original parts included.
