Gibson Les Paul Modern Figured 2023 - 2024 - Cherry Burst

Every once in a while a Les Paul shows up that just immediately feels special in your hands, and this Gibson Les Paul Modern Figured in Cherry Burst is absolutely one of those guitars.

The first thing that grabs you is the top. The flame figuring on this one is genuinely incredible — deep, lively, and full of movement depending on the light. The Cherry Burst finish really lets the figuring pop, fading beautifully from bright cherry tones into darker edges while the grain underneath shifts and dances across the surface.But this model isn’t just about looks. The Les Paul Modern series takes the classic Les Paul formula and makes a few thoughtful updates that really improve the playing experience. The body uses Gibson’s modern weight relief, which makes this guitar feel noticeably lighter than many traditional Les Pauls. This one in particular feels very light in the hands, which makes a big difference during longer playing sessions.

The neck has Gibson’s comfortable SlimTaper profile, paired with an ebony fingerboard that feels fast and smooth under the fingers. It also has a slightly flatter feel as you move up the neck, which makes bends and lead playing feel really natural. Gibson also reshaped the neck joint on these models, so the upper frets are much easier to reach compared to a traditional Les Paul.

Tone-wise, it’s loaded with Burstbucker Pro humbuckers, which really deliver that classic Les Paul punch while staying clear and articulate. These guitars also have a handful of push/pull options that let you split the pickups, run them out of phase, or bypass the tone circuit entirely. It gives you way more tonal range than a traditional Les Paul without complicating the controls.

This particular guitar is essentially like new. Aside from a very small scuff on the side of the headstock, the instrument shows little to no playtime and presents beautifully. The finish shines, the frets are clean, and everything about it feels fresh and untouched.

The setup is excellent — low, comfortable action with great resonance — and the guitar truly feels dialed in the moment you pick it up.

It also comes complete with the original Gibson hardshell case, all untouched case candy, and will ship in the original Gibson box just as it left the factory.

These Les Paul Modern Figured models are honestly some of the best playing Les Pauls Gibson has put out in years, combining the classic look and tone with a few modern upgrades that genuinely make them easier to live with.
