Gibson Les Paul Faded 2018 - Worn Cherry

The 2018 Gibson Les Paul Faded models are some of the best modern “player’s” Les Pauls Gibson has made. They keep the classic Les Paul formula but strip things down just enough to create a guitar that feels incredibly lively, comfortable, and broken-in right from the start.

The Worn Cherry satin finish looks fantastic and lets the natural mahogany grain show through beautifully. Because the finish is thin and satin on the body, the guitar feels very resonant and alive in your hands. These models have a really cool understated look that sits somewhere between vintage and modern.

One of the standout features of the 2018 Faded models is the finish combination. The body has the smooth satin finish, but Gibson gave the neck a full gloss finish, which makes it feel slick and fast while playing. It’s honestly a perfect comfort combo — the satin body feels natural while the glossy neck keeps everything moving effortlessly.

This one is also nicely lightweight, which is always a welcome bonus with a Les Paul. It balances well and is comfortable whether you’re sitting or standinG.

Tone comes from a set of Gibson 490R and 490T humbuckers, left uncovered from the factory. These pickups are a great match for this guitar — warm and full in the neck with plenty of clarity, while the bridge has that aggressive Les Paul bite that really cuts through an amp. They absolutely scream when pushed but clean up nicely when you roll back the volume.

Condition is excellent with hardly any signs of use at all. It has clearly been very well cared for and shows minimal wear.
