This 2018 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Player Plus in Satin Vintage Sunburst has that perfect balance of vintage vibe and modern feel. The top is what grabs you first… that flame has a ton of movement, especially under light, and the satin finish gives it this almost raw, organic look that just feels different from the typical gloss Les Paul. It’s not trying too hard—it just looks right.
But where this one really separates itself is in the feel. Gibson absolutely nailed the Plek job on this guitar. It plays effortlessly—low action, smooth up and down the neck, and just one of those instruments that makes you want to keep going. The neck carve sits right in that sweet spot—not too chunky, not too slim—just comfortable and natural in the hands.
And then there’s the tone. The mini humbuckers are such a cool departure from the standard Les Paul sound. They’ve got that punch and clarity that cuts through a mix, but still keep enough warmth to feel full. Clean tones are articulate and chimey, and when you push it, it tightens up into this focused, aggressive voice without getting muddy. It’s a really versatile setup that doesn’t feel like every other LP out there.
Condition-wise, it’s in excellent shape—especially for a satin finish, which tends to show everything. There are some minor surface scratches from normal use, most noticeable on one side (as shown), but nothing that takes away from the overall look or feel. Frets are like new, the neck is straight, and it’s been fully set up and dialed in.
These are getting more and more rare. Not commonly out there!
