Questions about this guitar?

This Gibson Custom Les Paul Custom in Wine Red is about as clean as they come. The Wine Red finish is deep and rich without hiding the mahogany grain underneath, and the chrome hardware gives it a slightly different look from the gold hardware you usually see on a Custom. Between the multi-ply binding, block inlays, split-diamond headstock, and oversized black pickguard, it still has all of the classic Les Paul Custom presence.

The condition is honestly impressive. The body and neck look virtually unplayed, with no meaningful scratches, chips, buckle rash, or dings that I could find. Even the chrome pickup covers and hardware are unusually clean, without the normal clouding, fingerprints, or wear. There is one very small blemish along the top edge of the headstock, but outside of that, this one is about as close to new as a pre-owned guitar gets.

It also happens to be one of the best-sounding Les Pauls I’ve played in a while. The original Gibson humbuckers are extremely responsive and seem to react to every little change in pick attack. The bridge has plenty of punch and definition without getting harsh, while the neck pickup stays full and smooth without becoming muddy. It has that big Les Paul sound, but there is still a lot of clarity behind it.

The neck is on the slimmer side and feels fast and comfortable. The setup is excellent, with low action, no buzzing, spot-on intonation, and perfectly level frets that still look nearly new. This is one of those guitars that feels immediately right when you pick it up. Nothing fights you, bends are easy, and it plays cleanly everywhere on the neck.

It weighs 10.3 pounds on my scale, so it has the substantial feel you would expect from a proper Les Paul Custom. It includes the original Gibson Custom hardshell case and complete pictured factory paperwork and case candy. The case is also extremely clean and still has that unmistakable new Gibson vanilla smell inside.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.

Quick note: These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 3–7 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
