This is a 2023 Gibson Les Paul Classic in Translucent Cherry, and this one has an extra bit of Gibson history behind it—it is a factory-marked demo guitar, complete with the DEMO stamp and its Gibson Certificate of Authenticity. The Classic from this period combined traditional Les Paul construction and looks with a slimmer neck, weight relief and a much more versatile electronics package than a Standard.
The Translucent Cherry finish looks fantastic in person. Unlike an opaque red, you can still see the maple top underneath, with subtle grain and movement showing through depending on the light. The cream plastics, amber knobs and exposed zebra humbuckers give it a really sharp late-’60s-inspired look, while the deep red mahogany back keeps the whole guitar feeling unmistakably Gibson.
It retains its original BurstBucker 61R and 61T pickups, which have plenty of attack and clarity while still delivering the thick midrange and sustain you expect from a Les Paul. The Classic also gives you considerably more tonal flexibility than a traditional Les Paul through its push/pull controls, including coil splitting, phase reversal and direct-output switching. The complete electronics system passed inspection with no issues.
The SlimTaper neck feels comfortable and quick without feeling insubstantial. Fret condition is excellent, the rosewood board is in excellent shape, and it has a brand-new set of strings. The current setup passed inspection with spot-on intonation and comfortable medium action. I would consider the setup perfectly playable as it sits, although there is still room to dial the action in further depending on personal preference.
Cosmetically, I would put this one solidly in Very Good condition. It has a fair share of normal dings, scratches and handling marks throughout the body, but there is nothing I would consider major or structurally concerning. The neck and backside are also in very good condition, and overall it still presents extremely well for a guitar that has actually been played rather than kept untouched.
It weighs a very manageable 8.82 lbs on my scale, which is especially nice for a Les Paul Classic. It includes the original Gibson hardshell case, complete case candy and the Gibson Certificate of Authenticity documenting its factory demo status.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.
⏳ Quick note: These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 3–7 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.
Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.
