If you know the mid-90s Classics, you already know why this era has such a loyal following. This 1997 Les Paul Classic comes from the desirable pre-weight-relief years—a build with the kind of resonance, sustain, and punch that people hunt down the ’90s models for. Add in the original ABR-1 style bridge and the classic 60’s slim-taper neck profile, and you’ve got a very “old-school Gibson” feel that the later versions don’t quite match.

The Honey Burst finish on this one is especially pretty—rich, bright, and still carrying that late-90s vibe without looking aged or dulled. It’s in overall very good condition for a guitar pushing three decades. You’ll find a few small bumps and scuffs on the sides and back, some very light buckle rash, a tiny mark near the front binding, and a bit of minor checking on the headstock. Nothing structural, nothing ugly—just honest, light wear you’d expect from a well-cared-for ’90s Gibson. The guitar as a whole really does shine like new and looks fantastic in person.

Playability is absolutely dialed in. It was recently professionally set up by Chicago Music Exchange, and it shows—straight neck, spot-on intonation, smooth fretwork, low action, and everything functioning exactly as it should. It weighs in at a very comfortable 9 lbs 3 oz, which is right in the sweet spot for a non-chambered Classic.

Comes with a hardshell case and is ready to go.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and fully insured
