Questions about this guitar?
This is a 2018 Gibson Les Paul BFG with Humbuckers in Worn Ebony, and it is one of the more unique modern Les Paul runs Gibson has done. The BFG line has always had its own thing going on—raw, aggressive, stripped-back, and built more around attitude and feel than traditional Les Paul appointments. This version keeps the carved maple top and mahogany body formula, but gives it a much more rugged look with the textured worn finish, no fingerboard inlays, black plastics, and open-coil humbuckers.
The Worn Ebony finish is what makes this one stand out immediately. The top has that raw carved texture with heavy figuring underneath, giving it a smoky, almost burned-in look that changes depending on the angle. It is not a polished, traditional Les Paul top—and that is the whole point. The exposed grain, worn edges, and uneven texture are part of the factory BFG personality, giving it a much more aggressive and custom-shop-style appearance than a standard production Les Paul.
This one is loaded with the original Gibson open-coil humbuckers, giving it a thick, punchy, high-output Les Paul voice with plenty of bite. It has the classic four-knob control layout, a three-way toggle, Tune-o-matic bridge, and stopbar tailpiece, so despite the wild look, it still behaves like a straightforward Les Paul where it matters. The bridge position has plenty of attack and sustain, the neck pickup stays full and strong, and the middle position gives you that familiar Les Paul blend.
The rounded mahogany neck feels comfortable and substantial without being overly bulky, and the no-inlay fretboard gives it a clean, stripped-down look that fits the BFG style perfectly. The guitar plays extremely well with great action, spot-on intonation, excellent frets, and a setup that feels strong as-is. It is an easy guitar to sit down with and immediately enjoy.
Condition is excellent, and this one has clearly had very little play time. It was originally bought more as a collector piece, and it shows. The body and neck are both excellent, the frets are excellent, the fretboard is clean, and the electronics test properly. The textured Worn Ebony finish naturally has a rugged factory appearance, but there are no issues or damage to note. It presents extremely well and feels like a very clean example of an already uncommon model.
Includes the factory Gibson gig bag and complete case candy.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.
⏳ Quick note: These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 1–5 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.
Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.
Questions before you buy? Ask me anything — more photos, a specific measurement, or anything the listing doesn't cover.
