This is a 2018 Gibson Firebird in Ebony—one of the cleaner, more faithful modern USA Firebird builds Gibson offered, with the full reverse-body silhouette, neck-through construction, reverse headstock, mini humbuckers, and that unmistakable long, aggressive profile that makes a Firebird feel completely different from anything else in the Gibson lineup.
The Ebony finish gives it a really sharp, almost stealthy look. Against the oversized white Firebird pickguard, chrome hardware, black top-hat knobs, and dark bound fingerboard, it has a great contrast that feels both vintage and modern at the same time. It is a simple color combination, but on a Firebird it works incredibly well.
This model uses the classic neck-through construction that gives Firebirds their distinct response. The mahogany/walnut neck-through center section runs through the body wings, which helps give it a strong, immediate attack, excellent sustain, and a more focused feel than a typical set-neck Gibson. The SlimTaper neck profile is fast and comfortable without feeling overly thin, and the 24.75-inch scale keeps the feel familiar for anyone coming from a Les Paul, SG, or ES-style Gibson.
It is loaded with the original Firebird mini humbuckers. These have a brighter, tighter, more cutting voice than a standard full-size humbucker, but they still retain enough warmth and output to sound full under gain. The neck pickup stays clear and articulate for cleaner playing, while the bridge has plenty of bite and punch for classic rock, blues, garage, alternative, and heavier rhythm work. The two-volume, two-tone layout and three-way toggle give you the normal Gibson control scheme, just with a much more focused pickup voice.
This one is in amazing condition and truly presents like it has barely been played. The body and neck are excellent, the frets are excellent, the electronics work exactly as they should, and the original pickups are still installed. There are no major dings, chips, cracks, breaks, or distracting wear to call out. Even the chrome hardware presents unusually clean.
It has spot-on intonation and still feels close to a good factory retail setup. The action is comfortable, it plays and sounds great, and there is no buzzing or playability issue to report. Personally, I would lower the action just a touch for my own preference, but it is already set up cleanly and ready to play as-is.
It includes the original Gibson hardshell case along with the complete original case candy, including the factory paperwork, owner’s manual, inspection materials, Gibson strap, and accessories.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.
⏳ Quick note: These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 1–5 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.
Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.
