This is the full Black Beauty package—a 2026 Gibson Custom 1957 Les Paul Custom Reissue with three pickups, a factory Bigsby and the VOS treatment. It is a bold guitar in every possible way, but once you actually pick it up, it becomes clear that this is much more than a showpiece. The three-pickup setup is incredibly versatile, and the Bigsby is what really brings the whole guitar to life. What a sweet setup.

Unlike the maple-topped Les Pauls most players are familiar with, the ’57 Custom is built from a single piece of solid mahogany with no weight relief. That gives it a deep, full voice with a strong midrange, while the solid ebony fingerboard adds clarity and a quicker response. The 1950s-style neck has a substantial vintage feel without being difficult to play, and the long-tenon, hide-glue construction gives the guitar the solid, connected feel you would expect from a high-end Historic Reissue.

Visually, there is nothing else quite like a three-pickup Black Beauty. The Ebony finish, multi-ply binding, large mother-of-pearl block inlays and split-diamond headstock inlay already make it unmistakable, but the gold Bigsby pushes it over the top. It looks expensive because it is, but it still has the attitude of a guitar that was built to be played.

The three original Custombucker Alnico III pickups sound excellent. There is plenty of warmth and depth, but they stay open and responsive rather than getting muddy. The additional middle pickup gives the guitar a different range of textures than a standard two-pickup Custom, and the Bigsby adds a subtle movement and musical feel that fits this guitar perfectly.

The current setup is great. Intonation is spot on, the frets are excellent and the guitar plays exactly as it should. The Bigsby operates smoothly and gives you everything from a slight shimmer to more noticeable movement without taking away from the natural sustain of the guitar. It weighs 9.92 pounds on my scale, which feels very reasonable for a solid-mahogany, three-pickup Les Paul Custom with a Bigsby.

Condition is genuinely close to buying new. This came to me from a friend who loved the guitar but could not justify keeping something this valuable while also being too nervous to play it. As a result, it has hardly seen any actual play time. There are no meaningful dings, chips or scratches that I could find.

It is important to note that this guitar has Gibson’s factory VOS finish. The slightly aged sheen, softened gold hardware and light vintage-style surface appearance are intentional parts of the factory finish—not damage or player wear.

It includes the original brown and pink Lifton-style hardshell case, certificate booklet, hangtags, paperwork, switch-plate medallion and the complete original factory case candy. This is about as complete and clean as one of these will come without ordering it new yourself.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.

Quick note: These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 3–7 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
