This 1977 Fender Stratocaster in Sunburst is the real deal — a true vintage piece that’s aged beautifully over nearly five decades. For a guitar pushing 50 years old, it’s in excellent condition and plays even better than it looks. It’s got that unmistakable, rich Strat tone that only comes with age and heavy wood.
The ash body and one-piece maple neck deliver a resonant, punchy tone with that classic Fender sparkle in the high end and warmth in the lows. The trio of original gray bobbin pickups are full of character, offering a perfect balance of chime, clarity, and grit. The bridge position gives you that aggressive, biting tone, while the neck and middle positions serve up bell-like warmth and that iconic Strat “quack.”
The U-shaped maple neck feels amazing in the hands, with a generous shoulder that fits like a glove. Frets are in great shape with plenty of life left, and the upgraded hand-carved bone nut keeps everything ringing out with sustain and clarity. The original Fender F tuners still hold pitch perfectly, and the original ’77 serial stamp is intact on the neck heel and headstock.
The gloss sunburst finish is all original, with only light signs of wear — a few small finish scratches and minor chips around the edges, but nothing that takes away from its vintage charm. It’s been professionally set up with fresh 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation, so it’s ready to play the second you open the case.
It comes with a premium G&G Deluxe black tolex hardshell case with the classic 60s-style Fender raised logo. If you’re looking for a vintage Strat that sounds as good as it looks — and plays even better — this 1977 Fender Stratocaster is hard to beat.
I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.
Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.
