This is a 2019 Fender Rarities Series Quilt Maple Top American Original ’60s Telecaster in Blue Cloud Burst, and this is easily one of the most visually striking Teles Fender has put out in recent years. The Rarities Series was Fender’s limited-run, boutique-style line that took familiar American-made designs and dressed them up with premium woods, unique finishes, and higher-end appointments. This one keeps the classic Tele formula intact, but adds a stunning quilt maple top, natural ash back and sides, black top binding, and a very cool pickup pairing that gives it a lot more personality than a standard production Tele.

The Blue Cloud Burst finish is absolutely the star here. The quilt maple top has deep movement and almost a smoky blue/black look depending on the light, while the natural wood back and sides add a really classy contrast. It is one of those guitars where the top grabs your attention first, but the back and sides are honestly just as impressive once you turn it over. The black pickguard, black binding, chrome hardware, and maple neck tie the whole thing together beautifully.

This model features a two-piece ash body with a bound quilt maple top, a one-piece quartersawn European maple neck, maple fretboard, 9.5" radius, and 21 vintage tall frets. The neck has a comfortable ’60s “C” profile that feels substantial enough to have some character without feeling oversized. It has that smooth, broken-in Fender feel that makes it easy to settle into right away.

The pickup set is one of the coolest parts of this guitar. Fender paired a Pure Vintage ’64 Tele bridge pickup with a Custom Shop ’51 Nocaster neck pickup, giving it a really balanced mix of snap, warmth, and classic Tele clarity. The bridge has the bite and twang you want, but it is not thin or harsh. The neck pickup has that rounder, sweeter Nocaster-style response, and the middle position has a great blended chime. It genuinely sounds amazing and has the kind of versatility that makes a Tele so addictive in the first place.

Hardware includes the vintage-style string-through Tele bridge with three compensated brass barrel saddles, chrome hardware, black/white/black pickguard, master volume, master tone, and a three-way blade switch. The electronics tested properly, the pickups are original, and everything is working as it should.

This one is in excellent condition with very little play time. The body and neck are both excellent, the frets are excellent, the fretboard is clean, and intonation is spot on. The setup is solid and it plays very comfortably as-is. There are no major cosmetic issues noted, and overall it presents as an extremely clean, well-kept example of a rare and very beautiful Telecaster.

It includes the original Fender hardshell case and complete factory case candy.
