This is a Fender Limited Edition Mark Speer Stratocaster in Natural, and it is one of the cooler artist Strat models Fender has released in recent years. Built around Mark Speer’s distinctive Khruangbin-inspired setup, this model takes the familiar Strat platform and gives it a really unique voice—part vintage Strat, part smooth humbucker flavor, and part desert-psych/soul machine. It has a Select Ash body, Custom “C” maple neck, 7.25" radius maple fingerboard, jumbo frets, and the pickup configuration that makes this model so fun to play.

The Natural finish is gorgeous in person. The ash grain is wide open and really pops under the gloss, giving the guitar a warm, almost furniture-grade look without feeling too polished or sterile. The white pickguard, white pickup covers, white knobs, chrome hardware, and black rear trem cover all work really well against the natural ash body. It is simple, but in the best possible way—clean, classy, and instantly recognizable as something a little different from a standard Strat.

The electronics are a big part of what makes this model special. It has DiMarzio Pro Track pickups in the neck and bridge positions with a vintage-style ’70s Fender single coil in the middle. That gives it more output, smoothness, and body than a traditional three-single-coil Strat, while still keeping enough Strat character to feel familiar. The 5-way switching gives you a wide range of sounds, including the out-of-phase neck/middle position that ties directly into Mark Speer’s signature sound. This is one of those guitars where the pickup layout immediately makes sense once you start playing it.

The neck feels great. The Custom “C” profile has a little more substance than a super-thin modern neck, but it never feels bulky or slow. The 7.25" radius gives it that vintage Fender feel, while the jumbo frets make bends and lead work feel easier than you might expect from a vintage-radius board. It also features Graph Tech saddles and a Graph Tech string tree for improved tuning stability, along with vintage-style Fender “F” stamped tuners and a vintage-style synchronized tremolo.

This one plays and sounds amazing. I lowered the action a bit, and there is still some room to bring it down further if the next owner wants it even lower. The setup feels good as-is, the intonation is spot on, the fretboard is clean, and the frets are excellent. It has a really comfortable feel overall, and the pickup configuration makes it way more versatile than the simple natural finish might suggest.

Condition is excellent. The body and neck are both in fantastic shape, with no major dings, chips, breaks, or structural issues noted. It has a very clean look overall, and the gloss natural finish really shows off how nice the ash body is. It includes the factory Fender gig bag.
