The Monterey Strat is one of those guitars that feels like a piece of rock history the second you open the case. The artwork is bold and unmistakable, and this one in particular is in excellent shape all around. The finish is clean and glossy, the colors are vibrant, and neck is straight with like new frets. It’s genuinely a very well-kept example.
This one also has the official Seymour Duncan Jimi Hendrix Signature loaded pickguard installed—the real-deal upgrade straight from SD that runs about $389 on its own. It takes the guitar exactly where you’d want it to go: expressive, dynamic, and noticeably more alive than the stock setup. The pickguard has naturally yellowed a bit over time, which is totally normal for white plastics and actually suits the vintage-inspired aesthetic.
Playability is solid: smooth neck, easy action, and just a fun Strat to have in your hands. It comes with a nice Fender hard case as well as the trem arm. Recently received a professional setup.
