This is a Fender James Burton U.S. Signature Telecaster, finished in the iconic Black with Gold Paisley. Built in the USA between 1990 and 2006, these have become increasingly hard to find, especially in this condition. It’s a bold, unmistakable instrument tied directly to one of the most influential session and country guitarists of all time.

The paisley finish is absolutely stunning in person — deep black with intricate gold detailing that looks almost three-dimensional under light. Photos honestly don’t do it justice. The gold hardware completes the look perfectly and gives this guitar serious stage presence.

Pickups & Electronics

This model features the original Lace Sensor pickup set that made the Burton signature famous:

• Lace Sensor Blue (neck) – warm, glassy, and full
• Lace Sensor Silver (middle) – balanced, clear, and articulate
• Lace Sensor Red (bridge) – punchy, hot, and cutting

You also get the signature mini-toggle switch, allowing you to blend the neck pickup in any position for expanded tonal options beyond a standard Tele. It’s incredibly versatile — classic Tele snap, Strat-like quack, and thicker blended tones are all on tap.

Playability & Feel

This one plays exceptionally well. The neck is fast, comfortable, and familiar, with that classic Fender feel that just disappears in your hands. Action is smooth, frets are clean, and it rings out beautifully unplugged.

Condition is excellent, with only a few small, surface-level scratches on the back that are purely cosmetic. The front, hardware, and neck present extremely well.
