Fender FSR Swirl Telecaster 2013 - Blue Swirl

This is a rare 2013 Fender FSR Blue Swirl Telecaster—a limited Factory Special Run built to take the familiar Tele platform in a completely different visual direction. These were made in a small special run, and because of the marbled swirl finishing process, no two guitars came out looking exactly alike. This one has an especially wild blue, turquoise, and olive-gold pattern that wraps continuously around the front, sides, and back of the body.

The finish is the whole story here. It has that unmistakable “bowling ball” or liquid-marble look, with big flowing sections of blue and muted gold that make it feel more like custom paintwork than a typical production Fender finish. It is bold, weird, and genuinely cool in the best way—one of those guitars that immediately gets noticed before anyone even plugs it in.

Underneath the special finish, this is still a proper modern Telecaster. It features an alder body, a maple neck with Fender’s comfortable Modern “C” profile, a maple fingerboard, 21 medium-jumbo frets, and the familiar 25.5-inch Fender scale length. The 9.5-inch fingerboard radius gives it a much more modern, easy-playing feel than a vintage-spec Tele, especially for bends and lower action.

This one has been recently set up and intonated, and it plays extremely well. The action is very low with no buzz, the frets are excellent, and the neck feels fast and comfortable in the hand. It has that direct Tele response, but the current pickup setup gives it more punch than you might expect. The neck pickup retains the classic covered Tele look, while the bridge position is fitted with a Seymour Duncan single-coil-sized humbucker that adds extra output, thickness, and drive without losing the guitar’s clarity.

It is in excellent, near-like-new condition overall. The finish is exceptionally clean, the neck is straight, the frets are excellent, and everything functions exactly as it should. It holds tune, plays cleanly up and down the neck, and is ready to go. It includes a Fender hardshell case.
