This is one of those Strats that immediately feels intentional the moment you plug it in. The Eric Clapton Artist Series isn’t about vintage nostalgia alone — it’s about control, clarity, and consistency across every position on the neck. This 2012 example captures that perfectly.
Finished in classic Black, the look is timeless and understated, letting the details do the talking. The soft-V maple neck is the star here — comfortable, substantial without being bulky, and incredibly confidence-inspiring whether you’re digging into blues bends or laying back into clean phrasing. It’s the kind of neck that makes you want to keep playing longer than you planned.
Tonally, the Vintage Noiseless pickups deliver exactly what they’re known for: articulate, glassy Strat character without the hum. Clean tones stay piano-like and clear, while pushed sounds remain focused and controlled — especially when paired with the active mid-boost circuit, which gives you instant access to thicker, almost humbucker-adjacent tones without losing definition. It’s an incredibly versatile setup that covers far more ground than a traditional Strat.
Condition & Playability
This guitar is in very good condition overall. The most notable cosmetic flaw is a chip on the back of the body, which has been carefully stained with ebony to seal and protect the wood. It’s fully stable and clearly photographed so there are no surprises.
There was visible fret wear when I acquired it, so the guitar has since had a professional fret level and dress. It plays cleanly and comfortably now with no choking. Full transparency: the frets are in good playing shape, but a future refret may eventually be needed down the road, depending on how hard it’s played. Right now, it plays beautifully.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.
⏳ Quick note
These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 3–7 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.
Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.
Questions before you buy? Ask me anything — more photos, a specific measurement, or anything the listing doesn't cover.
