This is one of those Strats that immediately reminds you why the Eric Clapton model has such a loyal following. Built in 1999, this one has aged beautifully — 27 years old and still exceptionally clean, with only some minor finish scratches to show for its life. No abuse, no weird mods, no mystery issues.
The Lace Sensor pickups are the heart of this guitar. They’re quiet, powerful, and unmistakably bold. This isn’t a polite Strat — it’s hot, punchy, and has real bite. I find myself rolling the volume back more than usual, which says a lot for a single-coil guitar. It cuts through effortlessly without getting harsh, and the midrange has that unmistakable Clapton authority.
What really sets this model apart is how functional it remains. Everything is original and fully operational — from the electronics to the hardware — which is becoming increasingly rare on these older Clapton Strats. The neck feels fantastic, the guitar resonates well, and it’s the kind of instrument that feels confident in your hands, whether you’re playing clean, edge-of-breakup, or pushing an amp.
It comes with the original Fender vintage tweed case, complete with that killer red interior — a perfect match for the Torino Red finish and a huge part of the classic vibe.
Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.
⏳ Quick note
These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 3–7 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
