Fender Deluxe Stratocaster with Maple Fretboard 2017 - 2019 - Vintage Blonde

The Fender Deluxe Stratocaster from Fender’s Mexican Deluxe series is one of those models that quietly packs in a ton of upgrades over a standard Strat. It looks classic at a glance, but once you start playing it and exploring the electronics, you realize it’s a seriously versatile instrument.

This one is finished in Vintage Blonde, which is a great Strat color because it lets the wood grain subtly show through the finish. Paired with the black pickguard and maple neck, it has that perfect mix of vintage Fender vibe and modern edge.

One of the standout features on these Deluxe models is the S-1 switching system, which is the small push button built right into the volume knob. When engaged, it unlocks additional pickup wiring combinations beyond the normal 5-way Strat switch. This allows you to access series wiring options and fuller humbucker-like tones, dramatically expanding the tonal range of the guitar while still keeping the classic Strat sounds intact.

This model is equipped with Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups, which deliver classic Strat tone while eliminating the hum that traditional single coils can produce. You get the familiar sparkle and clarity in the neck and middle positions, along with a punchy bridge pickup that cuts through a mix beautifully.

Playability is excellent thanks to the modern “C” maple neck and 12” fingerboard radius, which is flatter than a traditional Strat and makes bending and faster playing feel effortless. The medium jumbo frets also add to the smooth feel and make the guitar incredibly comfortable across the entire neck.

This particular example has been freshly restrung, professionally set up, frets polished, and the fingerboard cleaned and conditioned, so it feels incredibly smooth and ready to play right away.

It’s also equipped with factory Fender locking tuners, which make string changes quick and help keep the guitar rock solid in tune.

Weight-wise, this one is on the heavier side for a Strat, likely a bit over 8 pounds, which actually gives it a really solid, substantial feel and contributes to a strong sustain and full tone.

Condition is excellent, with no major dings or chips. The only thing worth noting is some light scratching on the rear plastic tremolo cover, which happened when it was removed and stored. Otherwise, the guitar presents beautifully.
