This is a 2010 Fender Custom Shop Custom Deluxe Stratocaster in Transparent White, and it is one of those Custom Shop builds where the understated body finish almost hides how special the guitar actually is. The Custom Deluxe platform took the familiar Strat formula and gave it a more player-focused treatment, combining traditional SSS Strat character with modern hardware and the level of wood selection and finishing you would expect from the Custom Shop.
The Transparent White finish is especially cool in person. It is not an opaque Olympic White—the grain underneath subtly shows through the finish, giving the body considerably more depth when the light hits it. Against the mint green pickguard, aged-white plastics and chrome hardware, it has a clean vintage-inspired appearance without actually being built as a period-correct reissue.
The real showpiece is the maple neck. There is substantial flame throughout the neck, fingerboard and back of the headstock, with figuring visible from almost every angle. It has that high-end Custom Shop look that you notice immediately once the guitar is turned over, and the contrast between the warm figured maple and Transparent White body works incredibly well. Black dot markers keep the front simple while allowing the figuring in the maple itself to do most of the visual work.
Electronics remain original and everything passed a complete functional test. The three original Fender Custom Shop single-coils deliver exactly what I want from a good Strat—clear, open cleans, plenty of articulation in the neck and middle positions, and enough bite from the bridge without the guitar feeling harsh. The five-way selector gives you the familiar range of Strat sounds, and this one simply sounds excellent across the board.
It also has the more modern hardware that makes the Custom Deluxe such an easy guitar to actually use. The two-point tremolo has a smooth feel, the modern locking tuners make tuning stable and straightforward, and the neck feels comfortable without being overly vintage or restrictive. The current setup is excellent, intonation is spot on, the frets are in excellent condition, and overall playability is exactly where I would want it.
At 7.72 lbs on my scale, it has a nicely balanced weight for a Strat and feels comfortable both seated and standing.
Condition is excellent. The body, backside, neck and fretboard are all extremely clean, with only a small ding on the side keeping me from calling it essentially mint. There is no meaningful fret wear or anything that affects playability. It includes the original Fender Custom Shop hardshell case along with the complete original case candy, Certificate of Authenticity and paperwork.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.
⏳ Quick note: These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 3–7 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
I bought this guitar, inspected it, photographed it, dialed it in, and I'll be the one packing it. If something isn't right when it arrives, you're not filing a ticket — you're emailing the person who put it in the box.
Same guitar, same packing, same insurance, same 3-day return window you'd get anywhere else I list it. It just costs less here, because there's no platform fee in the price.
Questions before you buy? Ask me anything — more photos, a specific measurement, or anything the listing doesn't cover.
